Built in 1985 for 276,000 Gallons

Expanded in (1) week in 2005 to 423,000 gallons

This past fall Statewide Aquastore, Inc. completed the expansion of an existing AQUASTORE potable water storage tank that had originally been constructed in 1985, for the Town of Chenango, New York.

The Aquastore tank was constructed in 1985, a 50’ diameter and 19’ tall with a nominal capacity of 276,000 gallons. In 2005, the Town of Chenango made the decision to expand the tank because of increased needs in the community and Statewide Aquastore, Inc. went in and added (2) additional rings to the existing tank. The tank is now 28’ tall and has a capacity of 423,000 gallons.

All this was accomplished in one week’s time!!!

Being unable to shut down their only water source for the Town of Chenango, the tank had NEVER been inspected. Twenty years after the initial construction with NO MAINTENANCE costs, the tank was expanded and (with the exception of some galvanized streaks from the external nuts) the old sheets look just as sharp as the new ones. Because of our factory applied glass-fused-to-steel coating, the outside elements DO NOT play a part in the integrity of our tank coating.

In addition to the expansion, we added protective caps to the existing outside bolts (to seal off the nuts and prevent any future streaking )and did a complete reseal of the tank. In 1985, Aquastore’s exclusive Edge coating and external protective caps were not available. Essentially, the maintenance on this tank amounted to $620/year for 20 years.
